This is a relatively new product from an established vendor of LED bulbs. The quality of light (90+ CRI) is better than most smart bulbs. It’s nice that they’re honest about lumens and incandescent watt equivalence. It is reasonably priced.

I can’t speak to the usability of the Cree app (it’s probably not great). I was able to connect to the bulb using the Tuya “Smart Life” app, which I use for other smart home devices. This setup works without issues.

Regarding longevity, Cree’s standard 5-year warranty is the best in the business (on paper). Assuming they honor it, I am not worried.

On iOS 14.4 and 10 feet away from the wifi access point and bulb. I tried ten times to pair the bulb without success. The app sees the bulb model and Bluetooth seems to connect as the bulb stops pulsing, but ultimately ends in ??Device installation timeout??. I have Alexa and over a dozen other outlets and wall switches that just work. Back to Amazon returned as defective cree junk..
