So we used the Geeni LUX Edison ST21 Edison Wifie bulbs in two of our light fixtures in our dining area and in our front sitting room to replace some very yellowish (2200 kelvin) lights that came with our fixtures. What we really love about these is primarily the ability to adjust the kelvin rating, through the Geeni app, to whatever temperature suited the space along with the brightness. I can’t say much for the “Globe” brand version of these lights, but having the extra 300 lumens over the Globe bulbs does help if you happen to have less neighboring lighting in a large space.
QUICK NOTES: If you want to change the bulbs temperature on the fly I don’t recommend using your Google Assistant. In testing with voice commands asking Google to change the bulb to “Cool White” actually changes the bulb color to a “Warm White” and vice versa. For most folks, this won’t necessarily be an issue since you will primarily be setting it to one temperature for the life of the bulb. When setting the initial settings for your bulbs, it’s better to use the Geeni app. Otherwise, you can do just about anything else like setting brightness levels, routines, etc. on your respective voice assistant.
I would love to give this product a 5 if they improved the color change integrations for the Google Assistant.

I really want to like these bulbs. They look really nice and feel like good quality bulbs right out of the package. The shape is perfect and the options like dimming and color adjustment had me sold. Too bad they just won’t stay working! After a few days they started turning off on their own. When I turned them on I noticed that they were quite dim and my color adjustment was gone. A quick look at the app confirmed that they were both at 9% brightness. I reset both bulbs and reinstalled them. They worked for a week or so and started doing the same thing. I can still control the on/off function via my Echo or through the app, which means they are still connected to my network. Regrettably, I have already disposed of the packaging so they can’t be returned. I had planned to buy more but will look at other options based on my experience with these two. There are plenty of options in this price point. I encourage you to consider another bulb.

Customer Questions & Answers
In a lamp with three bulbs (all on or all off, no rotation of lights) do I need 3 of these or will one control all 3 bulbs?
Answer: You’d need them all to be smart bulbs, but if your lamp plugs into the wall (not hardwired) it would be more cost efficient to get a smart plug to control them all at once. But if the ability to dim the bulbs is important to you, going with smart bulbs would be the way to go.
Can I schedule the lights to slowly change from bright white to warm white throughout the day?
Answer: Yes, from the geeni app you can setup automations based on weather (sunset/sunrise, humidity, etc), or based on schedule and you can select brightness and color temperature of your device. There are many options to run automations
Are these compatible with the smart life app?
Answer: Yes. I was able to easily set up both bulbs with the Smart Life app. The app operates everything correctly and the bulbs also work great with Amazon Alexa devices. I believe I read somewhere that Tuya designs the apps for Smart Life and Geeni products as well as other smart products, so they are interchangeable.
