When Installing these lights the instructions are some bogus stuff. Don??t follow them. Screw them in and they will blink. Turn you light switch on and off 3 times quickly and then leave in the on position. They will cycle thru and then tell you they cannot connect and offer to try ap mode do it. Then your internet option to connect will pop up hit the connect now. Then select the Geeni option then go back the light will cycle thru again and then your done. Following thru with actual instructions wasted an hour of our time. The way I described took three minutes.
Top Critical Review
Well I had high hopes for these bulbs, but there is more to making them work than just plug and play. After a couple of hours of effort to get a connection with my router I called for help. (No Tech support after 5 p.m., but they did answer during the day on Saturday.)
I was told that not ALL routers will work with these bulbs, and I would need to contact a service provider/professional to make adjustments to the device. I handle my own router issues (my unit is a 3 yr old Linksys) and could not understand what changes in the configuration were required. I expressed that it would have been nice if the Amazon description had listed comparable routers. The tech support told me that information was on the “tiny paper.” Now I am not sure, but I believe the support person was referring to a disclaimer. I have found NO such disclaimer in the box with the bulbs or online.
If you decide to purchase these bulbs I would first find somebody to ask about your router model to insure you have a compatible unit. Next since these are spotlights, after you install them leave the ladder up. Because if you do have issues, Tech Support is going to ask you to remove them, and reinstall them 1 at a time. (Be prepared for the exercise.)
Finally, the Geeni App is horrible, and needs a lot of help. It lacks NO intuitive features, and the wording for various sub-sections forces you on a treasure hunt to find what you need.
Again, I was very excited about installing these fixtures. I wish folks were honest about their products.

Does this have a dusk to dawn option?
