I purchased two sets within two months of each other. The first was installed in my garage attic. The level of brightness is adequate for the large area above the garage and seems to be working fine.
The second set, installed in my art studio and provided very good reflected and balanced lighting for painting.
There are two 90 degree turns as it covers three walls. It acted up once or twice during installation, as in having a hard time coming on and staying on. It seemed to be sensitive to touch.
In less than two months after installation, the lights will no longer stay on. All I get is a surge when the ‘On’ button is pressed, then nothing.
I wonder if the gentle bending of the strip at two 90 degree angles has somehow weakened the connection. There were no detailed installation instructions, other than ‘do not turn them on while still on the reel’.
Does anyone else have a similar experience with Govee or other brands of strip LED lights?
I really liked the ample lighting and ease of installation. Wish that I could find a more reliable solution.

Which led is being used? (i.e. 5050) how long are the cuttable sections? can a section be powered by any 12 volt power source?
Answer: The model of the LED is 2835. The shortest cuttable section is 5cm. The section cannot be directly powered by 12 volt power source.
Can I use a wall switch to control this strip if I wanted to just leave the built in switch in the on position.

Is this available in amber?
Answer: They have a soft white version which is probably what you??re looking for.
Is this led bendable? Some led strip lights make this claim !!!

If we refer to the customary direction of bending the LED light strip as it’s displayed in the product page and ships on the spool as the normal “vertical” flex direction.
