I recently purchased a number of Phillips Hue products, including an LED lightstrip package. I was not impressed by the quality of the Phillips lightstrip for a variety of reasons, with the most prominent reason being poor quality adhesive strips. I returned the lightstrip to the store and opted to order an Innr lightstrip instead, as I knew it to be compatible with Phillips Hue, and wanted something at a cheaper price point. I do not regret this decision whatsoever. I found the quality of the Innr lightstrip to be superior to that of the Phillips Hue lightstrip: the colors are brilliant, the material feels solid, and I have little doubt that the adhesive will hold for a long time.
My only complaint is that it is not possible to add the Innr lightstrip to entertainment spaces to sync with music and other media. This is a minor complaint, but worth noting. In all, I’m very happy with this purchase.

These things suck. They cut corners on how the lights produce colors. They have 2 different kinds of LEDs that alternate and produce different colors and rely on some kind of algorithm to ‘mix’ the light together. The effect is not convincing. See my picture. That is supposed to be pink. It’s mixing light blue & light yellow and comes out looking mostly blue. Other LED strips I’ve used don’t behave like this. They also don’t put out much light. Can only assume it was some kind of cost cutting measure – but they aren’t priced that way. Only saving grace is they paired fairly easily to smartthings. But overall – total waste of money, you can do better.
Customer Questions & Answers
How do you set up the cut strips not connected to the power supply after they are cut
Answer: You can indeed cut the strip to length, with sections of 6.5 inches. However, the part that you have cut off, cannot be reused again.
Does this work with the Philips Hue Sync box?
Answer: No, only Hue products work with the Hue Sync Box.
Can you run an extension between two clipped sections? I would like to put it in shelves that are only a18″ wide, but separate.
Answer: Officially, no — once you clip off a section, that’s it. Unofficially, you might be able to solder wires, but no guarantee it would work.
