ASURION tech support went way beyond on dealing with a propane heater I had purchased on Amazon. The manufacturers warranty and support was useless and expensive. ASURION backed me up by sending a shipping ticket for me and gave me a gift certificate for Amazon to purchase another one since the model I purchased was no longer available. For the money I paid for this warranty was worth every penny and it wasn’t that expensive. I have several warranties that I have purchased from them in the past and present and will continue to do so when it is available with my purchases. I highly recommend them!
Top Critical Review
First: It got added to my cart automatically. I refuse to buy protection plans unless they are for power tools or appliances over $175 and yet somehow I got this for some cheap LED lawn lights that cost less than $100.
I say “automatically” because several times I’ve added items to my Amazon cart and discovered protection plans also added at the same time; so I’m assuming that’s how it it probably happened. Usually I find them and remove them before I buy.
Second: They make it ultra difficult to make sure what the warranty was purchased for. When I actually LOOKED at my credit card statement a couple months later and noticed an additional $15 charge, I had to go to my Amazon orders history page to investigate. Nowhere could I find what the plan was actually purchased for.
I narrowed it down to the LED lights and some replacement dishwasher parts only because they were the only other items I purchased that day. I finally had to go to the Asurion website and look it up there to confirm that it was for the lights, and not the dishwasher parts.
Third: It’s overpriced. I recently bought a protection plan from Square Trade for a power tool that cost over $200 and yet the Square Trade protection plan only cost me $9.
Fourth: The warranty is difficult to use. When lawn lights gave up the ghost I thought, ok, let’s try it out. I contacted Asurion and after a VERY long chat, they told me my claim was submitted and I would get Amazon credit card for the purchase price of the lights. Great. OK, so maybe buying this thing wasn’t so bad. NOPE.
The next day I get an email asking me for a photo of my Amazon receipt, which I sent. Then they wanted a photo of the receipt for the plan, too, so I sent that. Then they told me they wanted the lights back before they could approve the claim, and would send me a label. Fine.
When the email announcing the return shipping label shows up, I clicked on the link and got sent to an Asurion web page with an error message saying the label can’t be found and try again later.
Four days of clicking and no label generated, I finally write back to Asurion to ask for help. 24 hours later they send me an email containing a new link. Same thing. I’m going to try and upload a video to show you what happens. At the very least, a screenshot.
I just noticed a “cancel this policy” link here at Amazon, I may just try it. Because frankly? This policy is not worth wasting any more time over. The lights are a loss, this policy is a loss, too.

I plan on sticking it to the back of my tv for ambient lighting. if i were to remove it later in the future, is any adhesive residue left behind?
Answer: Yes. Use Goo-gone.
How do we power this light? Can someone provide the exact link to power it?
Answer: It has one transformer that comes with in the box and plugs into the wall and steps down the current. Then the extension plugs into the other end of the main strip if used.
