The old Sengled Smart Light Bulb being replaced, lost it’s connection to my Echo Plus (2nd Gen). I was not able to get the bulb to renegotiate with Alexa again. That bulb required a dedicated hub, or the Echo Plus. With this new version bulb, the echo does not need to be a hub. The Alexa pairing was a no-brainer that was completed in under 4 minutes, with no maddening redo’s. Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy!

Please believe me when I say I don’t write reviews! I don’t have time for this, however I did have to spend a lot of time choosing what bulbs to buy and I hope to save somebody else’s time. Received them yesterday. I immediately agreed with all the good reviews. They connected and worked great! For the 3 hours before I went to bed. Today, Alexa kept saying they aren’t responding so I checked the bulb app itself (pic included) they all have that stupid exclamation sign saying to check my internet connection, the same connection I’m using to type this and the same connection every other device in my home is currently using to work exactly the way they are supposed to. Sending them back tomorrow morning, save your time because trust me you dont want to have to switch every bulb on and on 5x every day to reset, reconnect and group them 1×1 unless you buy just 1 and you’re into that kind of stuff. Defeats the purpose of hands-free/smart imo.
Customer Questions & Answers
Hello, Works in 220v?
Answer: No I do not believe they make a 220 volt bulb. These are designed for house current only.
Can I dim with just voice control or so I have to use the app to dim the lights?
Answer: You can dim with voice control but you have to add the device to your network first via the Alexa App.
Are these more of a bright white or a warm? I am looking for something brighter than my other sengled bulbs.
Answer: They make both types of bulbs. These are daylight, much whiter than the warm white
Warm white bulbs are usually listed as 2700K, these are listed as 5000K, more of a blue white than yellow white.
