Note: I have dozens of Alexa compatible devices in my home. Lights, light switches, outlets, plugs, etc. I was an early adopter and feel like I have a pretty good handle on how to make these things work.
This is the second Sengled product I’ve tried. I figured they would be easy to set up since they are Amazon partners. The first one was Bluetooth, it was great in theory because it didn’t require third party apps. Couldn’t get those bulbs to work reliably, they would always work at first and then disconnect never to reconnect again.
These bulbs looked more promising, being wifi. App was fairly easy to use, though I hate having to create accounts for smart devices that should ‘just work’. Set it up anyway and it worked great for the first day.
Second day – bulb loses connection. I turn off the switch and turn on the switch on the lamp. Now the bulb is flashing periodically. Frustrating. Turn the switch on and off 5 times to reset it. Find the bulb again in the app, connect it again, Alexa pops up telling me there is a new bulb. Cool. Except now it immediately is unresponsive.
Going to try a few more things to see if I can get these bulbs working reliably, and if I find something I’ll report back. I expect this review to be removed if I don’t give it 5 stars, so I’m giving it 5 stars even though I currently dislike them very much.

I spent this afternoon trying to establish a ‘ blue tooth’ type of mesh per instructions with 50% success.
about half the time, alexa said ‘first light unresponsive’…and at times , completed the on/off voice control
even with the same verbal response of unresponsive…my network is perfect in all respects , so I need to
take a look at sengled…..1] should I connect/enable alexa app to sengled as a skill …2] would the coneection
be more stable if i used the hub …with different bulbs? Please advise.
