These are the only bulbs that work for me. I have tried the Sengled Bluetooth bulbs….will not stay connected. I have tried a different model # of Sengled Wifi bulbs….would not connect to my router at all. These specific bulbs connect quickly with zero issues. We use them on the front porch lights of our house, 6 total. They work perfectly with the Sengled app. Very easy to use and very easy to create a schedule!
Top Critical Review
Alright, apologies to any reviewers who legitimately had a great experience with pairing and configuring these bulbs but I have to believe these many high reviews are a scam. I consider myself to be pretty tech savvy but after an hour of failed attempts to get this bulb to connect to my network, and then have Alexa find it, I gave up and am sending it back.
Here’s what I expect with new smart bulbs (based on every other smart bulb purchased):
1. do something like flick on and off 3 times until the light starts flashing – clear indicator it’s in pairing mode
2. have Alexa or app look for it (i.e. add device, etc.)
3. 30 seconds later, bulb found and job completed
This piece of crap bulb:
1. Extremely vague sort of hesitant initial flash, then solid on – is it in pairing mode?
2. Follow Alexa instructions and then get to step that says you must download their special app. All other brands follow a sort of standard where a generic app or Alexa will simply find it but not this one!
And by the way, they boast that you can simply configure directly with Alexa, which then directs you to download their special app.
3. I finally got it paired with their special app, then told Alexa to find the new device and it couldn’t. That’s when I called it quits. FAIL
I’ll go back and search for a different brand, and won’t rely so much on review ratings next time.

What’s different about the Gen 2 bulb?
Answer: The primary functions are the same
Can these be set to warm white? or would it be a little off to the point where i should get warm white bulbs? I need warm white 99% of the time
Answer: All multicolor bulbs have the ability to set to various white options.
Can this be used outside? Looking to light up the house gold in September
Answer: No
Do I need to have the Alexa devices to work these light bulbs? Or can they be controlled they the sengled app alone?
Answer: Yes. These bulbs work directly with the Sengled Application
