Long story short, I have a SmartThings Hub with 4 outside light wall switches and a Hue Hub with only 2 light bulbs. While both worked with Alexa for voice control, the outside light switches would constantly disconnect from ST so I researched a Hue compatible wall switch. My conclusion was that a Zigbee3 enabled switch would work, but they are about $50 each. So I started looking at wifi wall switches and decided to get rid of SmartThings. But that didn’t help with the Hue issue. In researching wifi wall switches I realized that Treatlife also made wifi bulbs that did not need a hub. So I got rid of my Hue bridge and 2 light bulbs and replaced them with these Treatlife bulbs. Did the same for my wall switches and now everything works through a single app (you can either use TreatLife or SmartLife apps) and Alexa. Then I discovered they also work with Siri through the Treatlife app and I was sold.

I will say that the color modes don’t seem to be as bright as the “white” mode (white has cool to warm).

The Treatlife app allows you to set schedules, which also will set colors and brightness. There is a music mode that will “disco” the lights to music. And if you set a group, it will sync the color of the bulbs if you have several in the same room.

Man i tried to get these bulbs to work for 4 different days. Numerous attempts using iphone and android devices. Never got it to connect once. I even tried to open ports on router to see if that would help. I was very disappointed and was looking to try these out. I even emailed support but I never got an answer back.

Can you have multiple bulbs in music mode at once?

Yes. Just create a group (within the TreatLife app) containing the bulbs you’d like to be synchronized together:

Can the music continue to be played when you leave the app?
Answer: You can go into other apps and it will continue to work. You can not close it completely or it will stop. So as long as it??s open on the phone background it still goes.

If this is in an overhad fixture, does the fixture need to be switched on for voice commands to work? If so, does the switch not turn it on and off?

I don’t use voice commands, but control it with a smart phone app.

The bulb needs to have power to be able to be controlled with the app. I therefore leave the wall switch on when I want to control it.

Answer: Yes. You just want to make sure it is still connected to the home Wi-Fi to be able to use the functions
