This is my second set of lumiman smart light bulb and I must say I love them! We have had the first set for about 6 months. When I saw they now have a four pack, I was excited to buy more.

The best part of the lights is that they easily work with your smart device via an app. The app lets you create different ??devices?? so you can use the light bulbs singular or pair them together. You can ask Alexa to turn on ??light one?? or the entire room. There are also cute pre-set colors like Christmas. You can literally choose any shade of color and dimness/brightness you want.

Another great thing about the app is that you can set schedule for automatic times / an alarm type function.

Top Critical Review

1. Do NOT use the suggested PlusMinus app. It just doesn’t work (or if it does, it’s not worth the hassle of conquering). The interface is a garbled mess that can’t overcome the “English as a second language”-nature of it’s existence. Use the Smart Life app. Just download said app, then turn the light you wish to pair on and off x3. It will start to blink quickly. Then select “add device” in the Smart Life app. It should quickly recognize the bulb. It will allow you to rename it and will automatically sync with Alexa (which will send you a notification stating as much). Another minor gripe is that I had to manually enter both my wifi name AND password with each bulb.
2. Do NOT attempt to use these in a dimmable light socket. They just don’t work. They constantly unpair & malfunction with any adjustment to color or brightness. This was especially hard to swallow as I had purchased these four bulbs for my hallway lights, which are all controlled by a dimmer switch. But I kept them for use in other places around the house.
3. If you have any experience with LIFX bulbs and their native app, I would tamp down your expectations regarding these LUMIMANs. They are much dimmer (as the specs tell), but especially so when colors are used instead of whites. Still, at four bulbs for the price of one LIFX, these are an amazing deal for many locations like hallways and bedside lamps.

***Subtracting two stars: 1. No warning regarding dimmer-switch incompatibility. 2. Non-functioning native app interface. 3. it shouldn’t take over an hour of work to pair a few lightbulbs to the wifi 4. When you DO download the native app, you’re automatically signed up for junk email***

Do these truly go down to 2000k (warm setting). The description says so, but one of the images shows 2700.
Answer: It should be 2700K.

What do i do if I bought this and have 5 g?
Answer: These bulbs aren’t compatible with 5 GHZ channels.
