Description

Top Positive Review

This light is an excellent product. However, there are steps you need to know if you want to use this with Google Home speakers (and other speakers).

Sylvania has a BLUETOOTH app that will sync with the light. It MUST be used to change the programming among Alexa, or Google Home, or other smart speakers. THEN the same app will need to update the device with the current firmware to work with that device.

It’s a 2 step process BEFORE you can pair it with a smart speaker system.

Am I retarded? I cannot get these to connect to anything. The SYLVANIA app is terrible. The Alexa doesn??t recognize them. Is it me?

Customer Questions & Answers

Can I use these lamps if I do not have an Alexa at home?
Answer: Yes. Without an Alexa or Google Home device, these lamps are controllable with the Sylvania Bluetooth App.

My bulbs arrived and they are not linked to my Alexa Account. Now what?
Answer: Simply install lamp in a socket nearby your Alexa and power on. The lamp will blink four times to indicate it is in pairing mode. Then say “Alexa, discover new devices”, or go to the Alexa app and follow instructions to add a new smart home device.

Do these Lights work with Apple Homekit?
Answer: No. Our initial production run was Homekit compatible, but future production runs will not have Homekit. It is best to assume your order will not be Homekit compatible.
