I had the same issue most have had on here. The software update wouldn??t work. I had to reset the bulb and remove it from the app twice. But the 3rd time was the charm. You reset the bulb by turning the power off and on 3 times. Then set it up like it is new. Reading through the software updates one of the newer version fixes (or helps) with the issue. I wish they sent it with the latest software. But this thing is great. I have it at my front porch and scheduled to come on at night and turn off before daylight. I didn??t have ANY issues adding this to Alexa. As soon as I added it to the app Alexa sent me a message that the device was added. I already have a Wyze camera added to Alexa so the skill was already there.

To control a damned bulb:
1. Install app
2. Enter complex password (10 char. 1 cap, 1 number) with email address
3. Confirm password
4. Retrieve email
5. Enter code from email
6. Enter telephone number!
7. Enter number again to receive SMS.
8. Retrieve SMS
9. Enter code from SMS
10. Select WiFi network
11. Center something in some square but all I have is a black square.

Anything I receive from these imbeciles will be marked as spam. All this to control a demned bulb with an app that does not freaking work.

Answer: The Wyze Bulb Color can only be used in 120V sockets.

Does this Bob have a wider circumference than a standard 60 W bulb? The dome of my ceiling fan won??t fit a larger bulb.
Answer: Diameter 2-3/16″, OA height: 4-5/8″, Top of bulb to base: 3-3/4″

I want to use these in an environment with strict wifi so the bulbs won??t be able to access the network. Can they be operated via Bluetooth only?
Answer: No, they need to connect on both WiFi and Bluetooth.
